This is my second pair of the 840′s. I teach 10 classes of Zumba a week and have a slight over-pronation and really like my New Balance cross-trainers. They have just the right amount of tread. I teach both on gym floors and aerobic floors.

I like the look of these shoes, but if you order them, order a 1/2 size bigger than usual. I bought my regular size & my toes hit the very end of the shoe. Not too comfortable when walking on the treadmill. I am going to try to return them for a bigger size.

First of all, yes, these do run 1/2 size too small. I have several pairs of New Balance running shoes in a size 8, and the 8.5 in these are the exact same length. These shoes are super comfortable right out of the box. Perfect for a light weight gym shoe / training shoe. They are significantly lighter than my running shoes but just as comfortable. Since these are a training shoe, I wouldn’t recommend it for any sort of sport that requires a lot of lateral movement like raquetball…also the soles are too sticky for something like that.
As noted in someone else’s review, the silver ones are indeed quite silver…but I like it. I think it looks like a high-tech shoe without being too cheesy

I own these shoes in both colors and they are great at the gym! The red is a bit more conservative looking while the blue has a little more silver than I would ordinarily wear but very comfortable, nonetheless. It has an R3L last which renders a wider toe box for greater comfort at the gym.
I was hoping to find the black but it was only made in limited quantity.
This model will be replaced by the WX710BK, I look forward to trying it out!

Good Shoe, very light weight. Doesn’t feel like you have a shoe on. Glad I read the reviews as they do run small, I take a 9 1/2 but I ordered a 10, perfect fit.
